Community Guidelines
Everyone here is putting themselves out there to meet new people. These rules keep that fun and safe. They're part of our Terms of Service.
Effective October 1, 2026 Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version
Be who you say you are. Be kind. Take no for an answer. Meet in public. Don't sell, scam or hit on people. If something feels off, block and report.
Be real
- Use your real first name and your true age.
- Use recent photos that clearly show you. Your first photo must show your face.
- One person, one account. No fake, duplicate, shared or bought accounts.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, including a celebrity, a business, or our staff.
18+ only
Radar is for adults. No one under 18, ever, even with a parent's permission. Lying about your age gets you banned. If you think someone is underage, report them right away.
Respect the no
- A declined hello, a request that isn't accepted, or silence is a no. Leave it there.
- Don't make new accounts, ask friends, or use other apps to reach someone who said no or blocked you.
- Never pressure anyone to meet, stay, drink, share personal details, or go somewhere private.
Keep it friendly, not flirty
Radar is for making friends and doing things together. It isn't a dating or hookup app.
- No sexual messages, sexual photos or nudity, and no asking for them.
- No soliciting sex, "arrangements", escorting or paid companionship.
- Unwanted romantic or sexual advances count as harassment.
No hate, harassment or threats
- No hate speech or attacks on anyone for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected trait.
- No bullying, insults, intimidation, threats, or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves.
- No stalking, following, or showing up where someone is without being invited.
Radar etiquette
Radar shows you who nearby is open to saying hi, as a rough distance, never a spot on a map.
- Check how someone likes to be approached ("say hi in person" or "chat first") and respect it.
- Being on Radar isn't an invitation to search for someone. Don't try to work out exactly where anyone is, and don't walk up to someone who prefers to chat first.
- If someone doesn't say hi back, they're not interested right now. That's fine.
- Don't fake your location or use tools to get around Radar's limits.
Plans and showing up
- Describe plans honestly: what, where, when, and what it costs.
- Pick public places, like a cafe, bar, park or venue. Don't host plans at your home for people you haven't met.
- Show up when you say you will. If plans change, tell people early.
- Hosts: accept people fairly and never single anyone out based on a protected trait.
Respect privacy
- Don't share anyone's personal information, photos, messages or location without their permission.
- Don't photograph or record people without their consent, and never post someone else's photo as yours.
- What happens in a chat stays there unless you're reporting it to us.
No selling, spam or scams
- No ads, selling, recruiting, multi-level marketing, or promoting your business, event or socials without our written permission.
- Never ask anyone for money, gift cards, crypto, loans or investments, and never send money to someone you met here.
- No spam, bots, automation or bulk messages. Only invite friends who'd want an invite.
Nothing illegal or dangerous
- No buying, selling or promoting drugs, weapons or anything illegal.
- No violence, threats of violence, or plans that put people at risk.
- Follow venue rules and the law, including drinking age and open container laws.
Photos
- Allowed: clear, recent photos of you, with friends where you're easy to spot.
- Not allowed: nudity, underwear or swimsuit shots that focus on your body rather than you, sexual poses, violence, weapons, drugs, hate symbols, kids on their own, other people without their permission, screenshots, memes, or anything you don't have the right to share.
Partners and affiliates
Businesses and promoters on Radar must post accurate events and deals, honor their offers, and label paid promotions. Affiliates must disclose any paid relationship in their own posts, as the FTC requires. They can't use Radar to collect members' details or message members directly.
Instant bans
Some things get you permanently banned on the first offense, with no warning:
- Being under 18, or any sexual content or contact involving a minor. We report child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
- Violence, threats of violence, sexual assault or stalking, on or off the app.
- Sex trafficking, soliciting sex or escorting.
- Scams, fraud, or asking anyone for money.
- Hate speech or slurs aimed at someone.
- Being a registered sex offender, or having a violent or sexual offense conviction.
- Coming back after a ban, or creating accounts to reach someone who blocked you.
What happens if you break the rules
We look at reports, our automated tools and anything else relevant, and we may remove content, warn you, limit features, suspend you or ban you for good. We may also share information with law enforcement. We can act on conduct that happens off the app, too, like at a plan or another platform, when it affects the safety of our members. We decide at our discretion and don't always explain or give warnings. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll take a look.
How to report
Use Report on any profile, chat or message in the app, or email support@onradarsocial.com. We don't tell the person you reported who made the report. You can block someone at the same time, and they won't be told. Making false reports to get someone in trouble is against these rules.
If you're in danger, call 911 first. More tips are on our Safety Tips page.
